Care Instructions

At GASSY, we pride ourselves on designing high-quality products to offer you impeccable style season after season. To ensure the longevity and beauty of your shoes, follow these care tips tailored to the materials used.

Leather is a living, noble, and sensitive material. Over time, it can dry out, tarnish, or become marked, hence the importance of providing it with regular and appropriate care.
Each type of leather has its own characteristics: some are smoother, others more supple or velvety. Using CASSY care products is essential to respect their nature and preserve their shine.

1. Waterproof before wearing

Before your first outing, give your shoes a protective barrier. Applying a CASSY waterproofing spray designed for suede is recommended, as it helps repel dirt and moisture. It is recommended to maintain a distance of approximately 20 to 30 cm between the spray and the surface of the shoes. This distance allows for even application of the product, ensuring effective protection against moisture without saturating the material. Be sure to apply the waterproofing spray in a well-ventilated area and follow the manufacturer's specific instructions for best results.

2 - Gently cleanse and nourish

When cleaning suede, it is recommended to gently brush it with a specially designed CASSY brush to remove surface dirt. For stains, a special eraser or crepe brush suitable for suede can be used, using gentle circular motions. Avoid using water or chemicals, as they could damage the delicate surface of the suede. For leather, simply use a cleansing milk or nourishing cream once a month. After cleaning and care, allow your shoes to dry at room temperature, away from heat sources and direct sunlight, to preserve their color and texture.

3 - Store carefully

Proper storage is the first step in maintaining your shoes and will prolong their life. Store your CASSY shoes in a dry, ventilated place, away from direct light and moisture. Use shoe trees to maintain their shape, especially for leather models, and store them separately to avoid friction and deformation.

4 - Extend or recycle

A well-maintained pair can last through the seasons or experience a new life. Rather than throwing them away, consider extending the life of your shoes. A trip to the shoemaker may be all it takes: resoling, replacing heels, recoloring, or caring for the leather will restore shine and comfort to your favorite pairs. When wear and tear is too noticeable, give them a second life. Many associations and collection points accept used shoes, even damaged ones. Some will be repaired and redistributed, while others will be recycled in specialized recycling channels. Finally, for creative minds, an old pair can also become a decorative object or a craft project. Recycling also means thinking differently.
